IAU Grants

The IAU spends roughly one third of its income on grants for participation in the annual nine IAU Symposia, in the annual Regional IAU Meeting, and in the triennial IAU General Assembly.

In addition, the IAU spends roughly one-third of its income on grants issued in the context of the educational Programme Groups of IAU Commission 46: World-Wide Development of Astronomy (PG-WWDA), Teaching for Astronomy Development (PG-TAD), International Schools for Young Astronomers (PG-ISYA), and Exchange of Astronomers (PG-EA).
